UPDATE: Meeko has received his surgery thanks to all of your donations. The specialists are recommending a electro treatment. I’m starting to save up now & in hopes of having enough in April. If you are willing to help support us again I would really appreciate it. It’d be nice to get him in sooner than that so if you’re up to sharing &/or donating again I thank you.
I got meeko back in November of 2016 at the kitsap humane society for their free adoption weekend. It was the second day, as the previous day all animals got adopted. I arrived a few hours before clinic opened as I had my eyes on two specific cats I wanted to meet. The first was a sweet black kitten, very shy but sweet. The second was a lil older than the first & he had the prettiest coat, his tail striped like a raccoon. The instant he was placed in my arms he was purring like he had a motor going. I immediately knew he was mine & here I am eight years later. Eight years of my life I’ve dedicated to Meeko, I’d like to name him as my soul cat because seriously he is! An amazing sweet cat that has even helped me raise a litter of feral kittens. His love for everything has made him more than just a joy in my life. The world has a funny way of showing its gratitude to those of good being. Meeko has a tumor, more importantly one that has taken over part of his head causing him to lose sight in his left eye. Though his loss of sight hasn’t deterred him from being him. But that doesn’t mean that won’t change if I don’t get this removed. I was being misdirected & misdiagnosed for years causing this surgery to be so delayed. I’m frustrated, i’m upset. This cat has perfect health, no other growths, no problems in his blood or lungs. Biopsy on the growth shows this is one that wouldn’t spread it’d only grow in size. Overall he’s a perfectly healthy cat. & he could continue on for a few more years. But only if I get this surgery. I don’t have months to wait to save up for this. I need help now. So please, if you can give me anything in this life, give me this. Help me save my cat. He deserves this.
These funds directly contribute to the CT scan which indicates how much we can remove. Secondly it covers the removal of not only the mass but his eye if applicable. As he needs to be put under for both procedures & can only be seen by a specialist, costs are extremely high.
