Give me just a little more time...

Hi my name is Stella Conklin and I am a long time friend of James. As you probably heard, James was injured while working on a horse at Goose Downs Farm, almost a year ago. He then survived a twelve hour brain surgery, three weeks in ICU and a month in rehab. He came home in November of last year, but still required assistance. He has faithfully attended physical, speech and occupational therapy for the last 10 months. He is doing a lot better, but still has a way to go. His doctors have advised that he continue with the therapy for six months to a year. Due to his physical condition, it would be inadvisable for him to try to shoe or trim horses. Also, with his therapy requirements, it is almost impossible to get a full-time job that is able to do and continue his therapy.

James has been teaching a few lessons but that income is intermediate and not enough to support him through the rest of his recovery period. Time is of the essence, because once this window of opportunity closes, there will likely be little further improvement.

All of us in the equine world who know James, know that he is working his hardest to try to get a full recovery. James has always been someone who helped others and tried to spread kindness, in this sometimes cruel world. If you are able to contribute to this cause, I implore you to do so.
