What started as a few curious emus in the city of McKeesport turned into something none of us ever expected.

Our emus became locally (and TikTok) famous for wandering the neighborhood, popping up on the streets, and charming people wherever they went. They brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of joy to so many—but as funny and beloved as their adventures have been, the reality is that emus are not meant to live confined in a small city space.

Right now, our birds are limited to just ¾ of an acre, which simply isn’t enough room for animals of their size, curiosity, and energy. We’ve secured a new farm where they’ll finally be able to live the way they should—on 5 full acres, with space to roam, explore, and thrive.

Here’s the hard part: we can’t move them safely without proper fencing.

To responsibly relocate them, we need to raise over $3,000 just to purchase the fencing required to contain and protect them. This isn’t about luxury or upgrades—it’s about safety. Without fencing, the move cannot happen, and keeping them where they are isn’t a long-term option.

We’re asking for help because time matters.

Looking ahead, our dream doesn’t stop at relocation. Once the emus are settled, we hope to create an “Emu Experience”—a place where families, animal lovers, and fans of these now-famous birds can come meet them, feed them, and learn about them up close. We want to turn something unexpected into something truly special.
