Max is my heart dog... I've never been more connected to a fur baby. This past weekend was a gut-wrenching reality- he isn't going to live forever. Max starting showing pain responses to light touches so we rushed him to the vet... They ran several tests to discover a mass on his liver and an enlarged spleen, as well as fluid in his lungs. We quickly ran up a vet bill of $560 just for that. He's already diabetic and will need follow up tests, special food, and more meds hoping to give him the best chance and for comfort. We have already been in a season of struggling with my husband losing his job due to an injury, trying to help care for my mom with Alzheimer's, while raising 3 kids... any help is so very appreciated, and prayers are even more welcome!

Max is currently being treated at the Northshore Humane Society in Covington, LA and donations can go towards his outstanding balance if preferred.
