Hi, my name is Agustina, and I am Mateo’s cousin. I live in the United States, but today I want to share the story of Mateo, who lives in Argentina with his parents, Belén and Emanuel.

Mateo is only 5 years old. About a year and a half ago, he was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, a serious kidney condition. Since then, his life has completely changed—doctors’ visits, endless treatments, and the painful wait for a kidney transplant.

Unfortunately, in Argentina, children with disabilities are not always given the medical support and rights they deserve. Mateo’s parents, Belén and Emanuel, have been doing everything they can to provide for his care, but the costs are overwhelming. It’s devastating to watch such a little boy, full of life, have to fight for something as basic as the chance to be healthy.

That’s why I am raising funds: to help pay for Mateo’s ongoing medical treatments, hospital expenses, and the care he needs while waiting for a kidney transplant. Every contribution—no matter how small—will go directly to supporting Mateo and giving him hope for a brighter future.

Hola, mi nombre es Agustina y soy la prima de Mateo. Vivo en Estados Unidos, pero hoy quiero compartir la historia de Mateo, que vive en Argentina junto a sus papás, Belén y Emanuel.

Mateo tiene solo 5 años. Hace un año y medio, fue diagnosticado con síndrome nefrótico, una enfermedad grave en los riñones. Desde entonces, su vida cambió por completo: visitas médicas, tratamientos constantes y la difícil espera por un trasplante de riñón.

Lamentablemente, en Argentina los niños con discapacidad no siempre reciben el apoyo médico ni los derechos que merecen. Sus padres, Belén y Emanuel, hacen todo lo posible para cubrir sus cuidados, pero los gastos son demasiado altos. Es devastador ver a un niño tan pequeño, lleno de vida, tener que luchar por algo tan básico como la salud.

Por eso estoy recaudando fondos: para ayudar a pagar los tratamientos médicos, los gastos hospitalarios y los cuidados que Mateo necesita mientras espera un trasplante de riñón. Cada contribución—por más pequeña que sea—irá directamente a apoyarlo y a darle esperanza de un futuro mejor.
