Hey everybody! I'd love for you to meet my very good friend Mason! I met him on May 1st 2017, the very same day the picture was taken. He was trying to get to his table at Fuzzy's (in his motorized wheelchair), and everyone was ignoring him, so I stepped in and got him to his table. He was by himself. I sat with him and made an immediate friend for life. He has Cerebral Palsy. He needs a very special kind of chair to navigate his world and be comfortable. A few days back his chair shut down. He lives with his mom in rural California and they are getting no support to get him back in his chair. He is mobile in a friend's chair, but its on borrowed time, and NOT what Mason needs. I felt a very hard need and want to set up this fund raiser for Mason and his mom because they are the best people, and and they so desperately need a hand up right now. The starting goal for this fundraiser is $2k, but the reality is that his chair is a $30k plus investment. They are hoping it can be repaired, but there is no way to know. Literally anything helps, and 100% goes to them. With any luck we can get him back in a chair that allows him to enjoy what little quality of life he has. Like most of you, I am paycheck to paycheck myself. I know its a tall order, especially this time of year, but please lets give Mason and his mom the best Birthday (Mason's is December 7th!) and Christmas present they could have, Masons Freedom.
