Give Martyn the Masonic send off that he deserves

Our Dad died suddenly on Saturday 14 January. He was a committed Freemason and devoted over 30 years of his life to the Brotherhood.He worked tirelessly to raise tens of thousands of pounds for Masonic charities. Even after a diagnosis of chronic Heart Failure and unmanageable diabetes 18 months ago he continued to be fully committed to all the lodges he was a member of, travelling around the country to support Brothers and the Masonic charities and was Master of one of these lodges when he died, whilst is terrible pain and suffering which he often hid from his friends and his family.

He was an extremely proud Mason and did everything to expand membership and develop his lodges.

We would like to be able to give him the send off he deserves, in full Masonic pageant, and would have wanted. Allowing all his Brothers the opportunity to say goodbye.

We also want to provide our Mum, Louise, with the support and security she needs after losing her husband of 39 years so suddenly.

Due to Dad’s illness he had no life insurance and had been unable to work productively for a number of years and yet still managed to throw himself into the Masonic Fraternity as that is what made him happy in his final years.

We are very grateful for any help you can give us. This wasn’t something we as Sisters were expecting to have to do at such a young age, but we are honoured to try and support our Mum at this devastating time as the shock of becoming a widow at the age of 57 sinks in.
