Give Marilyn the Gift of Sight

My name is Erin and I'm doing this for my mom. Her name is Marilyn, she just turned 59 in April and she's diabetic. Right before COVID she needed cataract surgery, it got postponed for a year she was basically blind. The doctor found out she also had immaculate eye degeneration(not sure if that's the correct word) so she had to get surgery to drain the blood pooling behind her eye. This diagnosis requires her to get shots in her eyes so she doesn't go blind.
My mom can't afford the shots that cost $1,500 each. She had insurance through her work but paid and outrageous amount per paycheck.
In January my dad suffered a stroke at work, luckily he recovered almost 100%and hardly any side affects. He was off of work for a month because he needed to wear a heart monitor. He ended up getting a new job while he was recovering and it offered insurance which made my mom happy she could finally get her shots. Come to find out it only covers my dad and my mom could get on it but would pay almost triple what she paid at her work. My mom works at a potato farm loading semis with pallets of snacks of potatoes on a towmotor. She needs to be able to see in order to work.
One of the hardest things to do as a daughter is watch your mom cry because she's afraid she's going to go blind because she can't afford the shots. I would love nothing more to help her or pay for it myself but I don't make a lot of money. My mom is an amazing human being, the strongest, most caring and living and giving, selfless, humble, kind, hard working, smartest , helping woman you'd ever meet. She will give you her last dollars if you need it and will make sure you got something to eat. Her life has not been easy and she needs these shots and needs help. She deserves this more then anyone. She's always giving and helping people, please please please please please please please help mom keep her sight and job.
Thank you for taking the time to read her story, i hope and pray you can find it in your hearts and wallets to give her some much needed and deserved help. God bless .
