Oh my, you guys really came through! We met goal in a couple of hours!!! Shelter is recommending an industrial crate for Marcus so I’m opening it back up for an additional $250 if we can go ahead and set his adopter all the way up! Beyond grateful for the outpouring of support!

By now most of you know that Marcus was returned to the shelter because his last adopter let him go as a stray and will not be claiming him. Due to Marcus’s long history in the shelter system he has a few things on his record that caused him to come up for discussion at the life saving meeting. Basically, Marcus is almost out of time and will be humanely euthanized due to quality of life in the shelter and some stacking barriers to adoption (no cats, dog selective, on leash reactivity). Marcus has until May 21st to find his perfect family. We would like to help his new family with a 5 week training package with Roaming Rovers in order to set him up for success (which he has not had up until now). We are desperately hoping to change that. Please consider donating to help Marcus in his future home. In the sad event that Marcus does not make it, your funds will go to another dog who is rescued from the euthanize list and given their last chance at forever! If anyone is interested in adopting, please go to the Colerain location any day from 1:00pm-6:00pm and ask to meet him! Marcus absolutely loves his people and would give any adopter all the love and adoration they could ever want!

The ideal home for Marcus is as follows, but the behavior and foster team are willing to be flexible on some of these criteria for the right adopter.

I could say so many more wonderful things about Marcus, but we are on a bit of a time crunch.
