Hello, my name is Melanie Chaves and my rescue dog Mabel, a Catahoula Boxer mix, needs surgery (TPLO) to repair her left leg cranial cruciate ligament. She’s 5 years old and loves to play with her stuffed animals and the other two rescue dogs that I have.

I do live in NYC, but because the cost of the surgery is twice as much in NYC, my dad is coming to get her and taking her back to Ohio to have the surgery there and recover for 6 weeks. I would be grateful for any type of donation to help me cover the cost of the operation.
