Hi everyone, my name is Jasmine and I’m reaching out for help for my cat Luna.
Luna is only 4 years old and she is my absolute baby. She’s normally so playful, loving, and full of personality, and recently she’s been extra cuddly, always wanting to be close to me. She follows me around, sleeps next to me, and has always been my little comfort.
Over the past couple of weeks, she started having congestion and a swelling between her eyes that quickly got worse. At first I thought it was something small, but things took a sudden turn when she began struggling to breathe and had to be rushed to the emergency vet.
After multiple visits, testing, and treatments, the veterinarians now believe she very likely has a nasal tumor (cancer) that is affecting her ability to breathe.
Watching her go from her normal, happy self to struggling just to breathe has been absolutely heartbreaking. Right now, I am doing everything I can to keep her comfortable, including medications to reduce swelling and help her breathe. However, to get a definitive diagnosis and explore treatment options, she would need advanced imaging like a CT scan and treatments such as radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy, which are very expensive.
I’m currently a college student, and while I’ve done everything I can so far, the cost of continued care is more than I can manage alone.
Luna means everything to me. She’s not just a pet, she’s my best friend, my comfort, and my little shadow through so many stages of my life. I just want to give her the best chance and make sure she isn’t suffering.
The last photo shows what Luna currently looks like, and it’s been incredibly hard seeing her like this. I just want to help her breathe comfortably and feel like herself again.
Any support, whether it’s donating or simply sharing, would truly mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Luna’s story
