Hi, my name is Will Hocker and we are seeking help for our 9-week-old puppy named Louie.
Louie is a vivacious Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who is very sick. Louie developed what we thought was kennel cough, which turned out to be pneumonia. His oxygen levels dropped to the 80s and were going to the 70s when our vet had us take him to a 24/7 vet hospital.
Louie has been in ICU care since Thursday, 9/11/25. Unfortunately, due to his small size, he is not getting over his horrible cough. He does well with oxygen; however, when they try to remove it, his oxygen levels drop again. As of this time, they are projecting that he will need at least 3 to 5 more days in ICU. He wants to play, but then it causes him to start coughing and his raspy breathing makes him lose his breath. Louie's X-rays show that his lungs are still solid and the doctors are doing everything they can to help Louie with breathing treatments, oxygen, and other medications. Louie needs time, but ICU is very expensive on a teacher's salary. Any funds raised will go to Louie's care.
The funds will go to pay for Louie's stay in the ICU, the X-Rays that are used to determine if treatments are effective, and the medications he is given. The first few days of his stay has been well over $3,000 and the next 3 to 5 days will be an additional $5,000, so we appreciate any support.
