Help Lola Walk Pain-Free and Live the Life She Deserves
Meet Lola — a sweet, gentle soul who’s already endured more hardship than any dog should. She was first adopted from the shelter, only to be returned and left heartbroken. Despite everything, she’s remained loving, trusting, and full of hope.
When Lola came back into my care, I could tell something wasn’t right. She was limping and clearly in pain, but she still wagged her tail through it all. After several vet visits and X-rays, we finally got answers: Lola has a luxating patella (a dislocated kneecap) — a painful condition that makes every step a struggle.
So far, her care has already cost:
$175 for her initial X-rays and medication (while still under the shelter’s care)
$195 for today’s veterinary exam and new X-rays
Additional radiographs scheduled later this week before her needed knee surgery
The surgery will give Lola the chance to finally live without pain — to run, play, and just be the happy pup she was meant to be. Unfortunately, the cost of surgery and follow-up care is more than I can manage alone.
I’m humbly asking for your help to give this girl a pain-free future. Every dollar goes directly toward Lola’s surgery, recovery, and continued vet care.
If you prefer, my vet’s office also accepts direct donations by phone — just mention that it’s for Lola [Ashley Dixon].

Lola has already been a victim of neglect twice. This time, she’ll only know love, care, and safety. She deserves nothing less.
Thank you for reading her story and for helping her get the second chance she’s been waiting for. Even sharing this page means the world.
With gratitude,
Ashley & Lola Dixon
