Meet Logan (named by the children who discovered him) who we estimate to be around a 10 month old kitten who had been surviving all alone in the woods of the Hocking Hills outside of Columbus Ohio.

Locals first spotted him near the rental cabins all the way back in December of 2024 which means he somehow weathered the frigid winter months as a baby all on his own. Sadly, his companion (likely his sibling) who he was often seen with has gone completely missing :( We suspect they were left behind during the mother cats attempt to relocate or more likely she passed away when they were still small- OR they were dumped which is sadly all too common in wooded areas and parks :(

Logan was found by children on a camping trip with their Mom’s and they wouldn’t leave him behind. We figure the reason he was able to make it was due to occasional kindness of campers who visit the area and potentially fed the cats. While terrified at first and covered in fleas, he’s since learned the ways of indoor life in his temporary bathroom digs, sat well for his flea baths, and is the sweetest most grateful boy.

We badly need to vet Logan with blood work, testing and a neuter so we can find him a forever home. There’s been some fickle interest in him that continually falls through so we’ve taken matters into our own hands.

Columbus shelters are also completely overwhelmed and there is currently no space or support within our reach to help him. We are seeking any kindness possible to get this sweet boy a clean bill of health and a fresh start. Any amount you might find in your heart to donate to his start up care is beyond appreciated.
