Lobo is alive today because of rescue—and because of compassion.
On the day he was scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter, I stepped in and saved Lobo’s life. He was overwhelmed, scared, and stuck in survival mode in a loud, stressful kennel environment. Like so many dogs who deteriorate in shelters, his fear was mistaken for who he truly is.
But Lobo is not a lost cause. He is a dog who was failed by circumstances.
Since leaving the shelter, it’s become clear that Lobo needs structured, professional support to decompress and learn how to feel safe again. He is smart, food-motivated, and capable—but he needs time, patience, and experienced training to help him work through fear-based behaviors so he can thrive in his foster home and eventually transition into a stable, loving forever home.
I am raising funds to cover one full month of professional training, which will focus on:
• Confidence building and decompression
• Handling and leash skills
• Reducing fear-based reactivity
• Helping Lobo learn how to safely navigate people and new environments
This training is critical—not optional—for Lobo’s long-term success. It gives him the best chance at becoming adoptable, staying safe, and never ending up back in a shelter again.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward Lobo’s training and care. If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story still makes a huge difference.
Lobo deserved more time. Because of rescue and community support, he finally has it.
Thank you for helping me give him the future he almost lost.
