Update: I wanted to take a minute to thank you all again for your help. Your donations have significantly helped in Linus’ continued care. Linus is still considered critical but stable. His levels have increased a little on his own moving from 16% to 19%. Which is progress and I’ll take the small wins. The problem is at this point his little body cannot regenerate red blood cells. Which as you can imagine is crucial. This is not a quick fix and will have quite the long recovery process. I know times are tough for everyone, but please consider sharing the post as this is a delicate disease that can have many set backs. The vet bills continue to add up. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I wanted to post an update when I had more answers. But sadly I don’t. Linus will have his blood checked to see where his level are in the next day or two. From there it will be decided if another blood transfusion is necessary, hospitalized or continued care at home. Please continue to share as this is just the beginning of our battle. I appreciate everyone who has donated and shared his page more than I could ever express.
Help Save Linus: Fighting IMHA
Hi, my name is Jodie Maxim, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My sweet 3-year-old dog, Linus, is currently in the hospital battling a life-threatening condition called immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA).
IMHA is a devastating disease where the immune system attacks the red blood cells, causing severe anemia. Linus has been so brave through this ordeal, but the intensive care, blood transfusions, and medications required to save his life come with mounting medical bills.
I’ve exhausted all of my personal funds trying to give Linus the best chance at survival, but the costs are overwhelming, and he still has a long road ahead. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
Your donations will go directly toward:
• Emergency veterinary care
• Blood transfusions
• Life-saving medications and treatments
• Ongoing follow-up care
Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and bring us closer to giving Linus the chance he deserves. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to me.
Linus is not just a pet—he’s my family, my companion, and my heart. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide.
With gratitude,
Jodie Maxim
