When Pierre Michel Rabbit came to The Kerulos Center for Nonviolence, us, he had survived a horrific torture ring and was barely able to walk. He isn’t the only one. Tootsa, an endangered Desert Tortoise, arrived with her shoulder brutally torn off. Emil Rooster witnessed his entire family slaughtered. All three were physically and emotionally broken.
With time and the specialized trauma-informed care our Grace Village sanctuary gives, they’ve been able to rebuild their lives. Pierre Michel is learning to walk, hop, and make friends. Tootsa and Emil are regaining confidence and trust. We need your support.
We are raising $35,000 to provide the specialized emergency and ongoing, lifetime care they and other residents desperately need:
- Medical Treatment: Ensure their physical well-being.
- Trauma-Informed Care: A safe and healthy home tailored to each individual
- Professional Therapy: Dedicated care from trauma-informed caregivers
Your gift doesn't just buy hay or a doctor visit; it buys back a stolen life. Trauma doesn't just disappear—it requires time and a compassionate community. Watch the video below and see what your support can achieve.
Your gift is a message to Pierre Michel and his friends that they are seen, they are loved, and they are not alone. Please stand with us together and help them heal.
