Hello all,

I’m Chloe and I’m asking for donations for lifesaving support for my sister Abigail.

Abigail is a young 19 year old girl, who spent her teen years in and out of hospital, receiving multiple surgeries and treatments, as well as medical appointments. Abigail has a passion for art, crochet, drawing and is an aspiring artist. Abigail’s goal is to lead as normal life as possible. She is my sister and I love her more than anyone or anything.

Abigail requires support for life saving medical treatments, supplies and ongoing care. Abigail has been ill for four years and is getting sicker. She has been diagnosed with:

- myopathy

- small fibre neuropathy

- gastrointestinal dysmotility

- malabsorption

- nutritional failure

- dysautonomia

- spasmodic vocal cord disorder

- dystonia and subsequent loss of use of her right hand

- neurogenic bladder

- vascular compressions

- blood glucose dysfunction

She has suspected mitochondrial disease as the underlying cause of her internal systems function loss and is undergoing further investigations for gene markers and autoimmune involvement.

Due to the numerous stays and trips to hospital and surgeries, Abigail has severe medical trauma.

Due to Abigail’s many conditions her quality of life has been severely affected. She has a central line, is wheelchair bound, has one functional hand and is reliant on a surgical catheter and feeding tube. She requires around the clock medications, monitoring, IV fluids, physio therapy, IVIG therapy, and psychology. Abigail requires 24/7 support and monitoring from myself and other family members.

Abigail’s medical costs are nearing $1,000 a week. This is taking a great toll on my family and we are reaching out for further support to help Abigail receive the care she needs to live.
