My name is Leeto which mean “trip” or “journey.” The name fits me perfectly. I am a Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog. I was born with a deformity in my kneecaps. My case is severe so I can’t walk on all fours, I have to scoot along. At 8 months old I was rescued from a cruelty case and ended up at a veterinary clinic. The veterinarian asked the executive director at Barefoot Crow Animal Rescue if they could take me in. I was to young to be evaluated for surgery.
I now live at Barefoot Crow Animal Rescue. I love it here and have been well cared for. I try to play with the others but my legs slow me down. Fortunately, their veterinarian believed there was a surgery that would help me walk upright. We went to an orthopedic surgeon to be assessed. With his evaluation and an MRI he considered me a PERFECT CANDIDATE for the surgical procedure, called corrective osteotomy. This surgery will put my knee caps back where they belong so I can stand on my back legs and run and play with my friends. All that is needed to support my progress is to raise the money to pay for the surgery. It will be between 10,000 to 12,000 dollars.
please donate to my GoFundMe campaign so I can have a chance to run and play and continue my journey to be welcomed into a new and loving forever home.
