Help Lark Walk Without Aid Again and Let Her Shine on Broadway
Hi, my name is Shannon, and I’m raising funds for my daughter, Lark, a vibrant 17 year-old with a heart full of music, art, a love of animals, a passion for the spotlight, and dreams of one day performing on Broadway.

Since May of 2024, Lark has been living in excruciating, daily pain. Once a bright and active child who loved to dance and sing, Lark now needs mobility aids to walk and struggles with even the most basic activities. Her pain is getting worse every day, and while she tries to continue to live a fulfilling life, she has had to step back from the things she loves most: theater, school, and friends, as her pain has taken over her young life.

After months of specialists, testing, heartbreaking uncertainty, and frequent ER visits, her medical team believes Lark may be facing Takayasu’s arteritis, a rare vascular disease, along with juvenile fibromyalgia, a chronic pain condition that affects the muscles and joints. While her official diagnosis is still unfolding, one thing is clear: Lark needs intensive, specialized care.

Her medical team has referred her to a pediatric pain rehabilitation program at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, a clinic that could give Lark her life back. This program offers expert care, physical and occupational therapy, and pain management techniques that could help her walk again without assistance, return to the stage without pain, and start chasing her dreams once more. More information on the treatment they are wanting her to do can be found by clicking here.
But the costs are significant; travel, housing, and expenses while we are down there are not covered by insurance, and our family simply can’t carry this burden alone.
That’s why we’re reaching out to you.
Every donation to this GoFundMe will go directly toward:
- Lark’s treatment at the Milwaukee pain clinic
- Travel and lodging expenses for our family during her care
- Medical equipment and therapies not covered by insurance
Lark is a fighter, and she hasn’t given up on her dream, and we won’t either. With your help, we can give her the chance to reclaim her childhood, move without pain, and one day take that long-awaited bow under the Broadway lights. We look forward to breaking the chains of pain she has been held down by for so long.

If you can give, we are deeply grateful. If you can’t donate right now, please share this page. Your voice could help bring Lark’s story to someone who can help.
Thank you for standing with our family and giving Lark hope.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Lark and Family
