Give Lady More Happy Years with Us
Donation protected
Ashley and I adopted Lady late April of 2017 from a work friend who was fostering her. Not a lot was known about her other than she had been abandoned and was a stray that had been in a few fosters for a couple of years. Ashley and I fell in love with her (Me especially having had a black lab with a white spot on her chest as a family dog in my youth) and we have had the most wonderful, gentle, and kind companion since then. She's helped us raise numerous cats we have adopted over the years and is just the sweetest old girl!
After having a few issues with excessive water drinking we had some tests ran on her blood with the vet. The original concern was Cancer as she had an elevated Calcium count. After seeing a specialist, further tests confirmed the best possible result. One of 4 of her Para-Thyroid was overproducing and needs to be removed. We were so glad to hear this result as the vet thinks she still has years to go, but we were then taken a back at the cost of the operation.
The amount we are trying to raise will mostly cover the operation with a bit more (that we will pay for) for follow up appointments and care post surgery. I do not wish to raise a dime more than what we can't cover ourselves responsibly. We wish we could simply cover this cost as hard working adults who love their dog, but it is simply more than we can handle at this moment in time. We are hoping for the love and charity of our friends and those in our greater community to help us have more time with our sweet lady and we very humbly ask for your monetary consideration.
All our thanks and gratitude~
