Hi! I'm Kratos,

I'm an 18 month old Australian shepherd, I love attention, cuddles, getting towel dried after a bath, playing with other dogs, my weird small friends (the cats) and Kong bacon cheese! My moms adopted me when I was little and so far, life's been pretty good! At 15 months old my mom noticed a mass on my butt and she took me to the vet right away. Later that week I had to have surgery, and because of the location of the mass they couldn't remove it all- it would have put me at risk of loosing control of my poops (and I've only pooped in the house like 2 times so that would be really hard for me). My moms sent the mass out to something called pathology and they told us my mass was cancerous. They didn't know exactly what kind of cancer I had so my moms sent in for another, more specialized test to determine the best way to help me get better.

These tests took a few weeks, so I had healed from surgery and I went to a specialist. I met with three different oncologists there to come up with a plan to help me fight my cancer. My tumor grew back quickly, which really scared my moms. It had grown back to the size it was before the surgery, and then some. They said my cancer is aggressive, and my prognosis was not very good. Because of the size of my tumor, another surgery wasn't an option, and radiation would hopefully give me another 9 months filled with all those things I love.

Now I'm a few treatments into my radiation therapy, and my moms and doctors are so proud of me because I'm doing really well! My tumor is shrinking and I'm fighting really hard, so hard that the doctors said I could have a surgery that would give me more time to enjoy my life, AND I would still be able to control my poops. The only problem is that the radiation cost my moms about $6,000 and they emptied their savings for me, but because I could have surgery they need some help. Surgery is estimated to cost about $6,100-$7,100 and my moms are trying everything they can to give me the life they say I deserve.
