My name is Sofia Honey and I am 10 years old. When I was just 5, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). Many of you will know me from my fundraising efforts already - I’ve raised over £12,000 for Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital Charity, and various other charities over the years since my diagnosis. I even have designed merchandise to sell and have designed and donated an end of treatment bell for our local hospital, so the patients can ring the bell in any location and to make it inclusive for all! My wishes for my birthdays, christmases and Easter’s since my diagnosis have always been the same - for all the boys and girls in hospital to be better and to have presents and eggs instead of me (if you google my name, you will see lots of stories and I’ve even been on the news!).
The reason for this page is because today we were told that we’ve been selected to be able to attend 2 weeks in Disney World, Florida - if we are able to fundraise the funds for the charity towards the stay. The charity needs $1150 + for the donation.
A little bit about the organisation -
Kids Cancer Charity have organised the dates for Give Kids The World for February 2025. The week at GKTW will include wish passes to Disney parks and Universal, as well as others including, Sea World, Legoland, Bush Gardens and more! The charity will also give us a weeks stay in their beautiful villa too. The only catch is, we must fundraise to get there!
So this is where you guys come in, can you help us please? Any amount, no matter how big or small will be gratefully received. We’re always so grateful for you all helping on various fundraisers - It doesn’t go unnoticed! If you’re unable to donate, please can you share this far and wide. Regardless if we get to Florida or not, the shares will spread awareness!
If we can fundraise the amount, we can officially say ‘We’re going to Florida baby!’. - But we can’t just yet!
