on the 31st of December I had severe chest pain and was rushed to hospital , it was found that I have a intramural aortic hematoma , Aortic filtration, penetrating ulcer of the aorta and a leaking thoracic aortic aneurysm , all of this has happened suddenly , with no health warnings or symptoms, so has been very difficult for me to adjust and accept as I’m usually very indeoenant and work hard.

any money raised which is not needed I’m going to donate to Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm research as the causes still remain unclear and there is no medical therapy to decrease the growth or rupture rate of enlarged abdominal aorta like I have and surgical repair is very risky.

just a little more info on my situation , I was in Exeter hospital for 2 weeks and then rushed in the middle of the night to a specialist hospital in Bristol away from my home, I’ve been unable to work since the 1st January so have had no income as self employed any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated as daily living and all the extra travel costs to and from hospital for scans and check ups is very costlyI have received some treatment whilst in hospital and still have to have further scans to keep check on the aneurysm and it’s growth and at some point a life saving operation , recovery after this will be long and any support you can give would be much appreciated.

im usually very independent and hate to ask for any help, but now have no choice,
