Hi, my name is Stacy, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit to ask for your support for my son, Kendall — a smart, passionate, and dedicated 16-year-old athlete facing a life-changing challenge.
⚾ A Rising Star with a Setback
Two years ago in November 2022 Freshman year Kendall suffered a freak accident playing baseball that resulted in a broken left hip. He underwent emergency surgery and now has six screws holding that hip together. With incredible determination, he pushed through physical therapy and continued to compete — never letting pain or fear stop him.
Despite it all, Kendall has achieved so much:
Sophomore Year: 2024 2nd Team All-District Shortstop
Junior Year: 2025 All -District Offensive Player of the Year & 2025 Coastal Bend Small School 2nd -Team All-South Texas
The Road Ahead: Hip Resurfacing Surgery
As of now, Kendall is experiencing daily pain in his hip and has developed a noticeable limp. Recent X-rays show that his femoral head is collapsing, confirming the progression of avascular necrosis.
After seeking out multiple opinions, we’ve been told the best option is hip resurfacing surgery — a modern, joint-preserving procedure designed for young, active individuals. This procedure offers the best chance to preserve his natural joint, relieve his pain, and help him return to the sport he loves and active lifestyle.
Without this surgery, Kendall faces:
Limited mobility
Chronic, lifelong pain
Loss of independence in simple activities like walking or sitting
Why We Need Help
We have reached out to multiple doctors in Texas who specialize in this surgery, but none are willing to perform it due to Kendall’s age. Unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the cost of this procedure, and after months of searching, we found a specialist out of state in Seattle, Washington, who is willing to help. However, this means we’ll need to cover the cost of the surgery entirely out of pocket — along with travel, lodging, and recovery expenses. We're doing everything we can to make this possible, but we can't do it alone.
We’re humbly asking for your help. Every donation—no matter the size—brings us one step closer to giving Kendall the future he deserves: one full of movement, confidence, and possibility.
