Hello everyone. I'm reaching out for a dear friend of mine who has been a part of my life for 14 years. Kyle and his mother Kathy have become a huge part of my life. Their souls shine compassion, understanding, warmth, and love. They would literally give anyone in need the shirt off their backs, or the last dollar in their pocket. I've met them both through working at the New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo. Kathy worked at the Birds of Prey show for 20 years, educating people and handling magnificent birds, anything from an Andean condor to macaws and parrots. Her son Kyle worked at Mayhawk Armory and as a Guardian for 20 years as well. He offers help with directions, teaches people about weapons, brings smiles, and helps people become immersed in the land of magic and fantasy! Kyle is also a 2 time cancer survivor. So he knows the fight his mother was up against.

Unfortunately, Kathy has been fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer that ultimately spread to her liver and pancreas. She fought hard through treatments and chemo. Even when you could see how hard of a day she was having through it all, she stayed hopeful and optimistic. Unfortunately, our hearts were not ready, but her wings were. She was called home after her long fight. Her son is so deep in grief and has a broken heart. He is disabled and cannot work. So, covering the costs of giving his mother her final wishes is proving stressful. I ask you for your help, love, and compassion. It is a very difficult time to even see your next step when you lose one of your parents. Kyle has been taking care of her right up until her time of passing. He is truly one of the sweetest people you will ever meet and is always giving to others! So I ask you please, every bit helps! Let's pull together and give Kathy a send-off of peace and let's help Kyle be able to heal and process without stress!
