Give Kal-El a Chance to Beat Cancer

Hello! We’re Jordan and Alyssa Strong, and we’d like to share a bit about our beloved family dog, Kal-El, who was recently diagnosed with Anal Sac Adenocarcinoma. Also known as Apocrine Gland Anal Sac Adenocarcinoma (AGASACA), this is a malignant tumor that originates in a dog’s anal glands. Unfortunately, it’s an aggressive form of cancer that can invade surrounding tissue and spread to other parts of the body.

We named Kal-El after Superman because he’s our hero, our emotional support dog who has always taken care of us. Whether it’s showering us with kisses when we’re down, cuddling beside us, or even helping people get up from the floor or couch, Kal is always there. He loves squeaky toys, treats, and relaxing on the beach in the sand. Long walks and chasing squirrels are some of his favorite things but lately, we’ve noticed he’s been struggling on his walks to go potty. We took him to the vet and soon found out that it was cancer.

Treatment for AGASACA typically involves a combination of surgery, radiation, and possibly chemotherapy. Sadly, we don’t currently have the financial means to get Kal seen by a specialist quickly, let alone afford the cost of ongoing treatments and medications.
