Give Justin a Pain-Free Future!

Hello everyone! My name is Justin, and I’m a year and an half old community cat living in the upper 9. I was born outside, and was having a nice kitten hood, living and playing in the neighborhood. I even found a couple of suckers who bring food to us feral kitties, twice a day!

Things were great until I grew up a little and got my adult teeth. I didn’t really understand why, but suddenly my mouth hurt all the time. It hurts to eat, so I can’t eat the crunchy kibbles the suckers bring the colony. ( Thankfully the girl sees me every morning, where I wait under her truck, for her to bring me some food I can eat more easily. My favorite has a lot of gravy to slurp up.)

It hurts to groom myself, so I don’t, and my coat is full of burrs and dirt. My face is especially bad, since the pain makes me drool. Then the drool mixes with dirt and clogs up my fur. It hurts to paw the grime off my face, so I end up more grimy and more depressed. I am, after all, a young handsome boy, and ask ANY cat… we like being so fresh and so clean.

Well, earlier this summer, the girl caught me, and brought me to some nice people called Trap Dat Cat who vaccinated me, and neutered me. I guess that was ok, because I don’t really need to fight to get the babes anymore, and I'm not gonna get rabies, whatever that is. But then they looked at my mouth, and told the sucker girl that I had something called stomatitis. I don’t know what that is, but the sucker girl says it’s the reason why my mouth hurts me all the time. She also said that one of her own kitties had stomatitis when she was a young cat. But then she had a surgery. It was a scary surgery, but her kitty was brave, and now she doesn’t have any more pain! She doesn’t have teeth anymore either, but now she can eat! And not just the canned stuff, she eats everything every other kitty eats! And she’s clean because she can groom herself pain-free, and doesn’t have infected teeth to make her fur smelly!

The sucker girl (who is maybe more than just a sucker) said she’d help, that she’d pay what she could, and she’d be my nurse maid and provide a recovery suite. And the nice people at Trap Dat Cat said they’d chip in and also facilitate a vet!

But it is a very expensive surgery, the friend girl and the very nice people can’t pay for the whole thing themselves. The friend girl says I am a community cat, though, and maybe the community can help me! Can you?

I’m truly hoping that you can look into your heart and find the compassion to help me help a little gremlin of a guy, who cannot really verbally thank you, but will live forever in gratitude that you cared enough to send a few dollars to alleviate a literal lifetime of pain. Everything raised here will go directly to funding Justin’s full mouth dental extractions, with any left over going to Trap Dat Cat, who are truly doing compassionate, necessary work.
