GIVE JUNE HER INDEPENDENCE BACK

Our friend, June Peacock, is a wife, mother, sister, sibling, friend, community member, caregiver, crafter, committee member and has been involved and active her whole life.

Overcoming major obstacles and challenges, she has always been there for anyone in need. Now she needs our help and support.

Imagine……June has suffered through 12 major surgeries on her right leg since 2004. Over the years, she got used to the pain and discomfort. She got used to the reduced mobility. She got used to the changes in her life. She adapted.

But when an infection attacking the prothesis could not be cured, and when her life was in danger, she had to make more drastic changes.

Last month, with surgery number 13, her life took another major shift. Upon the recommendation of several specialists, her right leg was amputated, including the hip. June is in good spirits and is recovering well but she will now live with major, permanent mobility issues. And, once again, she will adapt!

How can you impact June’s life? How can you help? How can you give her a new lease on life as she adapts?
