I am reaching out to you because you are a friend of Julie's. Around this time last year, Julie’s mum, Rosemarie Elliott, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Unfortunately, we learned recently that the tumour is no longer responding to chemotherapy and Rosemarie has been given months to live.  

Julie, being in Australia and so far from her family, is understandably struggling. She longs to be in Canada, to provide care, and absorb whatever limited quality time is left with her beloved mum. However, there are many barriers to making this happen. Not only does she have two beautiful sons to consider, but in the time of COVID-19 travelling from Perth to Canada is no longer straightforward. Costs of travel are now prohibitively expensive and routes are convoluted.

Every day she tries to solve her conundrum; she watches for flights to become available, mulls over her options, and connects virtually with her family.  Julie, our friend of perpetual sunshine and smiles, is admittedly left feeling torn and weary.

The Goal:
The hope of this campaign is to alleviate some of her burden. By helping her financially, we can provide a modicum of comfort and relief.  

Share Your Love in Whatever Way You Can:
Before launching this campaign, I contacted Julie and asked for permission. She immediately expressed concern for others during the pandemic. I too recognize that this may not be the time for donations. So please be assured, this is a no-pressure request. I am sure Julie will appreciate your love no matter which way you share it with her.
