We never imagined our lives would come to this…

A family of three, sleeping in our car, praying every night for a miracle.

When my husband lost his job, everything spiraled faster than we could catch it. Because of his background, finding stable work has been nearly impossible. We tried so hard to stay afloat, but after months of searching and struggling, we lost our home.

For the past three months, our car has been our shelter. Some nights, we lie awake just trying to keep our daughter warm. Some mornings, we look at her beautiful little face and wonder how we ended up here.

And it breaks us. Every. Single. Day.

But we refuse to give up.

We’ve survived thanks to the kindness of people like Maricel and Victor, and a few loving family members who’ve shared meals with us or opened their bathrooms so we could shower. These moments of kindness remind us that God still places angels in our path.

We are creating this GoFundMe because we are desperate for a chance to rebuild. All we want is a safe place to live and to give our daughter, Journee, the Christmas every child deserves—a Christmas where she wakes up in a warm bed, not in the backseat of a car.
