Hi everyone, my name is Calista. I'm starting this fundraiser to get the funds my family needs for our dog, Josie.

Josie was diagnosed with cancer, specifically a spindle cell tumor. She has two growths near her hip, one of which was tested. This is how we discovered she is positive for cancer.

Josie is a Whippet/Australian Shepherd mix. She is such a loving and protective dog. She is 10 years old, but aside from cancer, she is still in great health. She has so much life left to live. It breaks my heart having to write this, but I'll do anything in my power to get my baby the help she deserves.

To go about this process, there's only two things we can do: surgery or put her to sleep. The estimate for surgery ranges from $2-3k. This is a long shot, but anything helps. My dog is more than just a pet. She's my best friend. There's nothing greater than coming home from work every day and witnessing how excited she is to see me.
