Give Jordanna the Chance of a Full Recovery

Donation protected
Jordanna has spent her entire adult life raising money for others... lets find the generosity to support her.

Over the past 2 years Jordanna has remained committed to being a wife, mother and missionary despite a chronic debilitating illness.
Jordanna has remained vigilant in perusing holistic and traditional medical interventions to help her body heal and it has become clear that she needs to pursue a stem cell transplant to help her recover from this debilitating disease.

In March of 2023, Jordanna and family had been living and serving in Costa Rica for three years and had just purchased land in Herradura when she contracted Epstein Barr Virus, the virus that causes mono. Most people contract this virus as a teen or adolescent and 95% of the world’s population tests positive for Epstein Barr Virus or EBV, many of whom are asymptomatic their entire lives. Jordanna was hopeful that even though she was about to turn 42 years old, that she too would take the average 3-6 months to recover from this illness.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. A year later, after moving into their newly built home, Jordanna was diagnosed with CAEBV: Chronic Active Epstein Barr Virus, a rare syndrome with not many treatment options. Jordanna began adjusting her diet to whole foods that support reduction of inflammation. She monitored stress levels, reduced high impact exercise (she missed her running days with a passion) and prayerfully entered her second year of trying to reduce the number of relapses. The relapse symptoms have become easily recognizable and follow the pattern of slight sore throat and ear ache, followed by migraine like head aches, major fatigue for weeks, joint pain and severe back pain. Insomnia is also a major symptom which is a large barrier when rest can be the only road to recovery each relapse. Not being able to exercise is also a contributor to the insomnia. In essence, the two years have been expensive, tearful and tiring.

March 3, 2025 marks two full years of consistent relapses. Patients with consistent releases of mono with a CAEBV diagnosis are at risk for developing Multiple sclerosis, leukemia, lymphoma, and more. On average a patient with frequent recurrent relapses has a life expectancy of 5-10 years.

Jordanna, Pepper and many of their supporters and prayer warriors have shared that they believe this is spiritual warfare. Pepper’s work with veterans is thriving, Jordanna’s work reaching young girls, boys and families is soaring. We believe we are at a turning point at this moment in time, having served five years in this beautiful country.

Recently we learned that Costa Rica is one of two countries offering elective stem cell transplants from stem cells of full term mother’s infant umbilical cords. After much prayer and research, Jordanna is optimistic that this treatment may help reject the infected EBV cells and replace them with healthy, new young cells to give her more longevity and vitality in life.

While meeting Jesus is our ultimate destiny and we have no fear of dying, Jordanna feels as though she has more years left on this great earth, to raise River (age 10) and Windsor (6) and to continue serving our Lord here in Costa Rica.

If you feel led to support Jordanna in her pursuit of this treatment, she and her family and all in whom she serves daily will be extremely thankful!

John 16:33
