Help Jonnie McBride Get Life-Altering Treatment for Rare Illnesses

Our beloved friend, sister, and community member Jonnie McBride has recently been diagnosed with a rare and life-altering combination of conditions: POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), CCI (Craniocervical Instability), and hEDS (Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) — with more diagnoses still pending.

Jonnie has always been a fighter. For over 20 years, she's been a trusted and compassionate presence in the dental community, giving her all to help others feel cared for. She's been the person who shows up for everyone — now she needs us to show up for her.

Due to the severity of her CCI, AAI Jonnie urgently needs a complex neck surgery to fuse her C1 C2 vertebrae — a procedure not offered by most doctors and specialists. She has found a facility on the East Coast that is equipped to perform this life-altering surgery: Metropolitan Neurology Group in Marlboro, Maryland.

Unfortunately, this facility is out of network for all insurance companies, including government insurance, meaning every part of this treatment must be paid out of pocket — from the surgery itself to travel, lodging, and follow-up visits.

Jonnie is currently unable to work, drive, or even walk without pain. She's exhausted every option and is now at risk of losing everything — including her hope. But there is still a chance — with your help.
