Give Joey the Gift of Growth

Hello friends and family. A few updates and information about Joey have been added below.

Now, it goes without saying, I normally never post anything private, nor typically ask for any assistance with anything unless it's for my kiddos. With that being said,

As many, or at least most of you know, when Joey was 9 months old, he was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, which in turn led to him having surgery at the time to fix the issue, and then he had a second procedure at the age of 4. Since then, he has been monitored by his pediatrician. They ended up referring us to see an endocrinologist to check in on Joey's growth and continue to follow up with his neurosurgeon. As everyone is well aware, he is extremely short for his age, so short he is less than the 1st percentile for his age. This has caused concern for his Endo specialist. And although his neurosurgeon has no concerns with the hydrocephalus, in January, Joey will have one more MRI to give him the all-clear on his brain. But as for the endocrinologist, after many X-rays and blood tests, Joey has been selected and approved for Growth Hormone Therapy. The first round of testing has been scheduled for December 17th for the doctor to see where his natural growth hormones are lacking.

Matt and I are in need of additional assistance with the cost of medical bills and appointments, as our insurance does not cover everything. We hate to ask, especially with the holidays here, but if you could please help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Katye, Matt, and Joey.

Joey is 10, I've always said how his big personality makes up for his size. He has high hopes to lead a normal life. These donations will help us with his first round of hormone testing and any additional testing and his upcoming appointments. This therapy will continue for the foreseeable future, he is nervous, and very thankful to those who are able to help. In his sweet words. "For those who help, bless them."
