My name is Precious, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope and a story that’s been incredibly hard to share.
This is my husband Joey a vibrant, kind-hearted soul who just turned 40. A passionate chef, a loving father to our two beautiful children (8 and 5), and the man who has always believed in living well organic food, plant-based meals, daily movement, and laughter around the dinner table.
So when Joey was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease two and a half years ago in January 2023 our world shattered.
Despite his unwavering spirit and countless treatments from clinical trials to herbal and pharmaceutical therapies Joey’s condition has worsened. His mobility is fading, and the simplest tasks are becoming mountains to climb. Yet through it all, he remains the rock of our family, smiling through the pain, cooking when he can, and holding our children close.
The emotional toll has been immense. The financial strain, even more so. I’m 37, a newly graduated nurse trying to make ends meet while living with my mother-in-law. Joey can no longer work, and the cost of care and therapies has stretched us beyond what we can bear.
