Help Jinx Get the MRI and Treatment She Desperately Needs
Meet Jinx, our sweet 1½-year-old dachshund with a big heart and a courageous spirit. On May 15th, our world turned upside down when she suddenly began having seizures. We rushed her to the vet, who performed extensive bloodwork and ruled out toxin exposure, but the cause of her seizures remains unknown.
At first, Jinx was having one seizure a day, but on June 3rd, things took a frightening turn: she experienced seven seizures in just 24 hours.
Our vet has strongly recommended an MRI to help identify what’s going on in her brain. We are not sure whether it's epilepsy, a tumor, inflammation, or another underlying neurological issue. This is a crucial step in determining the right treatment and giving Jinx the best chance at a normal, healthy life.
Unfortunately, the cost of an MRI and related medical expenses is more than we can manage right now. That’s why we’re humbly asking for your help to raise $3,500 to cover:
MRI scan and continued veterinary care and diagnostics
Medication and supportive treatments
We are trying alternative natural remedies which has helped reduce the severity and frequency of her seizures. She’s now down to one seizure in the last 24 hours, but she still struggles with imbalance, rapid eye movements, and walking into objects, clear signs that something is still seriously wrong.
We love Jinx dearly, and so does her mommy, Pebbles and daddy Sparky as well as her brother Jax. Watching her go through this without answers is heartbreaking and also disruptive to our other fur babies since they do not understand what is happening. With your support, we can give her a real shot at recovery and ensure she gets the care she deserves.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign can make a huge difference. Every contribution, large or small, means the world to us and to Jinx.
What we can provide to our donors, daily updates of her seizure log as she continues her journey toward recovery. We will be starting social media accounts (TikTok and Instagram) with reels and videos updating people on Jinx's journey as well as our other fur babies and hope that our journey will help and inspire others who may have pets with similar issues.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
❤️

UPDATE 6/9/25 at 9:30 am- Jinx went potty on the puppy pads we laid around her crate which is a positive sign. She completely lost her housebroken ability and was going on the floor and carpet. We will continue to work with her in the hope she regains her ability to signal us when she needs to go.
