Give Jim a Fighting Chance to Recover
Donation protected
Meet Jim, a dedicated nurse with 37 years of service, who has recently endured a massive stroke. Jim has spent decades caring for his community with boundless compassion and positivity, often going above and beyond the call of duty. This is the man who, when a person experiencing homelessness entered the emergency room, would take it upon himself to wash and dry their clothes so they could leave with dignity.
Now, the very healthcare system Jim served so faithfully is failing to provide him with the quality care he deserves. The interventions offered by Medicare are mediocre at best, leaving him with less than an optimal chance for recovery. To give Jim the fighting chance he needs, around-the-clock medical care is essential.
As his sister-in-law, I’m organizing this effort to ensure Jim gets the care he needs. Jim has a young son, only 12 years old, who desperately needs his father to recover. Every penny raised will go directly toward securing continuous CNA care to assist Jim in getting out of bed and on the road to recovery. Currently, Jim’s left side has very little movement, a result of the stroke he suffered on the right side of his brain, where blood flow was cut off for around eight hours.
Jim has always been there for others—now it's time for us to be there for him.
