I am a mom who experienced a very challenging part of my life when my only son got paralyzed and had to undergo spine surgery 11 years ago. I know how it feels when a mother is having a big problem like this, and I can't help but my heart is crying too.

In Cebu, Philippines, my high school classmate's baby, Jillian, has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. It took some time for doctors to correctly diagnose her, and during those crucial days, she was kept in a regular room. When her condition worsened, she was transferred to the ICU. By day one in the ICU, her health insurance had already been maxed out.

Initially, comfort care was considered, but Jillian is showing us her strength. Despite the pain from the cancer and severe oral thrush, she continues to drink her milk, proving that she is a fighter. One glimmer of hope we hold onto is that the younger a child is, the better the prognosis for neuroblastoma. This is why they are fighting alongside her with everything we have.

Last May 2025, baby Jillian already completed 8 cycles of chemotherapy, but 2 months after, the result of the MRI showed that there is a big tumor on her spine area and brain.

With a heavy heart, the mom is reaching out to ask for all your help. The hospital bill has grown too high, and the account has now been closed. They can no longer charge any more medicines or supplies for Jillian's daily medicine and antibiotics, and they have been told they need to purchase it themselves.

But right now, mom has nothing left. Every last peso she had was used to buy Baby Jillian's medicine — it was far too expensive, but necessary. And now, she doesn't know where else to turn.
