Hello, my name is Ayana Williams, and I am Jermaine's sister. I am one of the few who take care of him. I have created this GoFund account for my brother, who is in need of a new wheelchair. Although Jermaine currently has a wheelchair, it is non-functional due to a dead battery that won't charge. I would greatly appreciate any assistance. For those who are new, here's a brief update on Jermaine's situation: we received a call on November 10, 2020, from a nurse stating that Jermaine was in the ICU with severe injuries, including broken ribs, a fractured neck, fluid on the brain, and a severe spinal cord injury. After being in a medically induced coma for two weeks, the doctors gave him little chance of recovery and predicted he would be a vegetable. He Was Released To Our Mom . However, I brought him home in December 2023, and he has been thriving since. Jermaine has gained weight, is eating solid food, and has recently started talking. Unfortunately, a recent appointment revealed that he requires a customized wheelchair due to contractures (stiffness) in his knees and below.
