My amazingly smart son, Jeremy, needs laser brain surgery. Jeremy has an exceptional brain despite the pitfalls that epilepsy has thrust upon him. Not only did my son graduate with his Bachelor's, but he also speaks Japanese and Chinese. I trust God with Jeremy’s future, but I also want to advocate for the help he needs.

I have watched Jeremy suffer physically and mentally for over 10 years as we’ve tried to find some normalcy for him. We only recently found out that medication will never stop his seizures, and to make matters more dire, the seizures are causing his brain to atrophy. We have exhausted all avenues thus far in the States but have hit a brick wall at each turn. After much research, the best plan we have found is for him to have the surgery overseas where the costs are much less.

Jeremy’s life has a purpose and his potential is astronomical. But at this moment, he is locked in a jail cell as the epilepsy has arrested his brain. Our family will do all we can, but this is more than we can handle alone. My hope is that there’s a community of others that want to help Jeremy see there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
