My name is Paula and my childhood best friend needs your help.
Please help my childhood best friend, Jennie, get the urgent treatment she needs to recover from Stage 3 Neurological Lyme Disease and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).
Jennie is 46 years old and has been sick for nearly three years with severe neurological symptoms including nerve pain, memory loss, speech difficulty, tremors, migraines, mobility issues, and extreme fatigue. Her condition is rapidly worsening, and without proper treatment, the damage may become permanent.
In 2013, Jennie and her family unknowingly moved into a home with hidden toxic mold. After years of misdiagnoses, a major flood revealed the truth. Jennie and her son, Nathan—who is also my godson—were both diagnosed with CIRS, Lyme, and other infections. Their life savings (over $300,000) were drained by mold remediation, temporary housing, medical bills not covered by insurance, and replacing contaminated belongings.
Just as their home was finally repaired, her husband lost his job for 14 months, pushing the family into severe financial hardship. Jennie hasn’t been able to work since 2022 due to her illness. She is 15 months into the process of applying for long term disability. Prior to losing her brain she worked as Vice President of Operations for a billion dollar hedge fund. Today, she can’t even work from home part time doing data entry.
She has finally found a facility offering an 8–10 week IV treatment that could save her life, but the cost—including travel and lodging—will exceed $100,000. They simply have NOTHING left.
Jennie is a devoted mom, wife, and friend. Nathan, now 14 and still battling illness himself, needs his mother to get better so he can heal too.
Please help give Jennie the chance to recover and reclaim her life. Any amount truly makes a difference. Even if you aren't able to donate at this time, please share Jennie's story among your network.
