We never expected to find ourselves here, but we’re reaching out for help from the bottom of our hearts.

Recently, my husband discovered a stray dog on his school campus—frightened, limping, and clearly in pain. He was seeking refuge, as if he knew someone would finally notice him. We couldn’t turn our backs. We brought him home, gave him a warm bath, food, and comfort. But his limp told a deeper story.

At the vet, we learned the heartbreaking news: he has a broken femur and needs urgent surgery. The estimate? $6,000—a sum we simply can’t cover on our own right now.

I’ve just moved for a new job, away from my husband, managing two households due to that. Some of you know I faced unexpected financial burdens due to tenant laws that cruelly drove me in to ten thousands of dollars of loss since January when I was still looking for a job.

Finances are tight. Still, despite everything, we feel deeply called to give this dog a second chance at life. He’s already shown such resilience and trust. We can’t let him down now.
