Help a Family in Brazil With Urgent Living Needs – They Need a Christmas Miracle

Story:

Hello, my name is Querubia Benitez, and I’m raising funds to support Jane, Kelly, and their children in Brazil, who are facing extremely difficult circumstances.

Jane is a hardworking single mother of a 5-year-old boy. She has opened her tiny two-room home (a small kitchen and bedroom) to her sister Kelly (also a single mother) and her two young children, a 2-year-old girl and a 7-month-old baby boy.

Kelly was forced to leave her apartment due to serious health issues that made it impossible for her to work or fully care for her children. She was hospitalized for nearly a month and, although she is now recovering, she still relies on daily support from her sister and remains unable to work. She is living with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing treatment and support.

Now, these two single mothers and their three young children are squeezed into a tiny bedroom and kitchen, doing their best to build a life in conditions no family should have to endure. The situation is urgent.

There is a small additional room on the property, but it is not currently livable. The roof leaks when it rains, the walls are covered in mold, and the stairs leading to the room have no safety protections for children.

With your help, we can renovate this room, giving Jane and Kelly the space they desperately need. This could also allow us to add a small restroom and tiny kitchen upstairs, giving Kelly a safe, dignified space for herself and her children. This room will also enable Jane to continue supporting her sister while providing the family with the dignity and security they deserve.

Jane works long hours as a waitress in two different jobs to support her son. Supporting her sister now makes it nearly impossible to meet even their basic needs.

Our Goal:
