Give Jaime Jimenez a Loving Farewell

My name is Gabriela Jimenez, and I am writing this with a heavy heart. My beloved husband, Jaime Jimenez, passed away recently after a long and courageous battle with Dementia. His condition stemmed from a traumatic brain injury he suffered in April of 2019.

Jaime was a loved father, husband, and grandfather. He was a very caring and hardworking man. He loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. The humor he had was funny because he would say things with a straight face until you laughed, and his smile and gentle eyes were so beautiful to look at.

For the past several years, Jaime faced immense challenges. While the injury took away most of his cognitive function and his ability to remember our family, we were blessed to be able to care for him and hold him close throughout these difficult years. It was an honor to be by his side, even as the man we knew and loved slipped away.

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly emotional and challenging time for our family. In addition to the grief of losing Jaime, I am now faced with the unexpected financial burden of funeral expenses. I was not employed, and Jaime's illness had already created significant financial strain.

We want to give Jaime the respectful and loving farewell he deserves. We are reaching out to our community, friends, and anyone who may be able to offer support during this incredibly difficult time.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go directly towards 1 covering the costs of the funeral service on April 11th and the subsequent funeral mass.

Mi nombre es Gabriela Jimenez, y escribo esto con un gran peso en el corazón. Mi amado esposo, Jaime Jimenez, falleció recientemente después de una larga y valiente batalla contra la Demencia. Su condición se originó a partir de una lesión cerebral traumática que sufrió en abril de 2019.

Jaime era un amado padre, esposo y abuelo. Era un hombre muy cariñoso y trabajador. Le encantaba pescar, cocinar y pasar tiempo con su familia. Su humor era divertido porque decía cosas con seriedad hasta que te hacías reír y su sonrisa y sus ojos amables eran hermosos de ver.

Durante los últimos años, Jaime enfrentó inmensos desafíos. Si bien la lesión le quitó la mayor parte de su función cognitiva y su capacidad para recordar a nuestra familia, tuvimos la bendición de poder cuidarlo y tenerlo cerca durante estos difíciles años. Fue un honor estar a su lado, incluso cuando el hombre que conocimos y amamos se desvanecía.

Como pueden imaginar, este ha sido un momento increíblemente emotivo y desafiante para nuestra familia. Además del dolor de perder a Jaime, ahora enfrento la carga financiera inesperada de los gastos del funeral. Yo no estaba empleada, y la enfermedad de Jaime ya había generado una tensión financiera significativa.

Queremos darle a Jaime la despedida respetuosa y amorosa que se merece. Nos acercamos a nuestra comunidad, amigos y a cualquiera que pueda ofrecer apoyo durante este momento increíblemente difícil.

Cualquier contribución, por pequeña que sea, será profundamente apreciada y se destinará directamente a cubrir los costos del servicio funerario el 11 de abril y la misa funeral posterior.
