Help My Daughter Jadeyn Find Her Way Back to Herself

My name is Jessica, and I am asking for help for my daughter, Jadeyn.

Jadeyn is only 20 years old, but she has been carrying a weight no young person should have to bear. For over two years, she has been fighting a constant battle with her mental health. She has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and severe anxiety, and instead of getting better, the system meant to help her has left her feeling worse, unheard, and hopeless.

The medications Jadeyn has been prescribed have taken a heavy toll on her body and mind. She experiences frightening hallucinations, intense manic episodes, anxiety, and struggles daily with eating and sleeping. At times, the side effects have been so severe that she felt she had no choice but to slowly wean herself off medications, enduring painful and terrifying withdrawals on her own. Watching my child go through that kind of suffering is something I would never wish on another parent.

Jadeyn has tried to speak up. She has begged her doctors and psychiatrist to listen to her, to truly see what these medications are doing to her. Instead, her concerns were dismissed, and more medications were added. Each change seemed to take her further away from the daughter I know, leaving her exhausted, scared, and stuck in a cycle she cannot escape on her own.

There have been countless nights of tears, fear, and desperation. Jadeyn has looked at me and asked for help, pleading for a chance to feel normal again, to feel like herself again. No parent should have to hear their child cry and say they are losing control of their own mind.

I was able to place Jadeyn as a dependent on my insurance so she could attend a specialized mental health treatment facility in Southern California. This program offers the kind of compassionate, comprehensive care she desperately needs: in-depth mental health assessments, individualized therapy, medication monitoring and safe tapering, support groups, holistic practices like yoga, and tools to help her regain balance and stability in her life.

This treatment offers something Jadeyn hasn’t had in a long time: real hope. However, insurance only covers part of the cost, and the remaining expenses are more than our family can manage alone.

Jadeyn wants to heal. She wants to wake up without fear, without hallucinations, without feeling trapped inside her own mind. She wants to move forward with her life, to dream again, and to believe in a future where she is healthy and whole. She has been stuck for so long, and this is her chance to finally break free from the cycle she’s been trapped in.
