Give Isabelle the chance to have a family

Hi there, we are Hannah and Isabelle and we have set up a GoFund me page to try and raise the funds that are needed for Isabelle to be able to have the egg freezing treatment she needs before time runs out for her.

Izzy was a teeny tiny baby of just 8 weeks old when she became unwell. After a harrowing night in hospital where they did test after test on her, we received the devastating news that she had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was rushed to Bristol Children's Hospital where she was admitted to intensive care and underwent an exchange transfusion .

And there began a long hard battle of chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, illnesses due to no immunity, pain, sickness , isolation and finally a bone marrow transplant.

We lived in hospital the whole time until we were finally allowed home just before her 1st birthday.

We have been so incredibly lucky...she went into remission and has remained there ever since. Despite some health issues that we have come across over the years, she has remained extremely fit and well.

However, one devastating truth is that it has had a massive effect on her reproduction system and she is currently almost infertile. She had a scan a couple of weeks ago in Oxford that shows that she has a couple of remaining follicles and they told us that if we act fast there is a chance they will be able to stimulate her ovaries enough to retrieve a few eggs for freezing before they disappear altogether. She needs to have 4 ivf cycles in a row as her reserves are so low.

Then came the next blow...this is not available to post-treatment patients on the nhs. Only to those who have their eggs frozen pre treatment. This was not an option for Izzy as she was far too poorly.

The cost of 4 cycles is going to be £12,000!! And has to be paid all up front and started within weeks/maybe months.

Izzy and I didn't want to just ask for money as everybody has their own crisises and hardships going on. But equally we don't have enough time on our side to be able to organise a big fund raising event.

So we are going to cover 250 miles betweenus throughout the month of August, either running or walking. Any support you could offer for this cause would be so appreciated and we would be thankful from the bottom of our hearts.
