My name is Samuel Lilly, and I am raising funds on behalf of the Shahood family. They are Hamza and Shaima, with their three children: Seela, Shahd, and Bashir.

• I am Shahd, an unemployed pharmacist. My degree feels useless today as I stand helpless before the moans of my paralyzed mother. Rheumatoid arthritis ravages her bones, and despite my years of studying medicine, I cannot afford a single painkiller to ease her hellish agony.

• I live in a tent in the middle of the Gaza Strip, sharing this cramped space with four orphaned children—my martyred brother's children. They look at me with hungry eyes, and all I have to offer is silence and the fear of an even harsher tomorrow.

• My younger sister has been robbed of her education because we cannot even afford a pen or a notebook. Both our dreams are withering away under this worn-out canvas that offers no protection from the heat or the cold.

• I appeal to you, not for pity, but for humanity. Help me stand on my feet again, help my mother receive her treatment, and save these children from certain despair. Please, do not leave us to fight this misery alone
