I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my twin sister, Marie, who suffered a major heart attack on Thursday, 17th July.. She was admitted to the University Hospital of the West Indies in Jamaica, where doctors confirmed that she urgently needs a pacemaker to survive — a procedure that costs 1,504,657 JMD (around £7,000).

Tragically, due to limited funds, Marie has been unable to remain in the hospital while waiting for the procedure. This has placed her in an incredibly vulnerable position as she continues to battle this critical condition without the consistent medical support she urgently needs.

Marie isn’t just my twin — she’s my best friend, my rock, and truly the heart of our family. She’s a kind, family-oriented, and community-focused woman who always puts others first. Whether volunteering at her church, cooking for the elderly, or helping neighbours in need, Marie has spent her life serving others with quiet grace and deep compassion.

Only a few months ago, she was treated for a blood clot in her lungs, which completely depleted her savings. Now, facing another life-threatening emergency, we’re doing everything we can — but we can’t do it alone.

We’re trying to raise enough to cover the cost of the pacemaker surgery and the hospital care Marie so desperately needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to her medical expenses and her a fighting chance.
