Hello everyone,

My name is Lizbeth Esquilin, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my father, Marcelino Esquilin.

My dad is truly an incredible man — a devoted husband to my mother, Sofia, with whom he has shared 44 beautiful years of marriage. He has always been the heart of our family, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to so many.

A man of deep faith, he studied Theology and earned his bachelor’s degree to further his passion for sharing the gospel. He is also a proud Vietnam veteran who served his country with honor and bravery. But more than anything, my dad is a selfless, giving soul — the kind of person who would literally give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.

It has been devastating for our family to learn that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer — a cruel and aggressive illness that we never imagined would touch someone so full of life and love.

We are humbly asking for help to cover the costs of his treatment, in hopes of giving him a fighting chance. Additionally, we are preparing for the possibility of needing to arrange a proper and dignified burial if the treatments are not successful.
